A Boy is believed to carry the legacy of the family usually a firstborn. If a girl is the firstborn then any boy born whether last or
middle is an heir.If they are all girls a second wife or third ,fifth will be sought.
This could spread to the brother of the husband. If is like that an Oversee position
is given to him.In other words no decision will be taken without him.Only the Big decisions like relocating,chairing weddings,charging the number of cattle for
his brother's daughter. Funeral Oversee.
He will make sure the family does not starve.
A Girl is believed if well guided to "enrich" the family.12 to 15 cattle will be sent by her
prospective husband to her family. If it happens that the girls comes the Chief or Right man of a Chief, the prospective husband must send 30 to 50 cattle.
3.A man known as "real man" must have more than one wife.
A Christian may have one wife.
The more you have wives and children the
more you will be honoured.
4.Wealth
If you have large maize fields(200-500)hectares,500 cattle,1000 sheep countless
number of chicken.
5.Houses
Each wife,children,husband is got a hut.

6.Influence:
A rich man is defined as the belongings from above.He is got an influence over the governance of his locality. His decision is persuasive.
He respects himself otherwise his honour will fall.He is careful what is saying,he visits, socialize with top people.
7.What about a wealthy woman?
A Local Chief would urge her to find a man or at the chief must be a husband.
This is for her protection.
But from the 2000 years till now,women are allowed to be wealthy.
