Family Strength 2

 Young Adults

Both Men and Women at this stage  are matured enough to start a family. There are  checks  and balances.

1.A Matured young man, must always visit  the Old Men Meetings which take  place weekly, monthly and yearly. He is expected to contribute positively  in the tribal problems.

2.Moreover,he must show the "extreme" respect to the meetings.

3.He must know his "place" very well. The decisions of the elderly are final. The deviation  is punishable or family expulsion

4.He must not have "bad" record  of not doing his duties at home

5.The Elderly Council  may "ban" him not to attend the council meetings  or to keep quiet  during meetings.

6.He might be instructed to call members of the Council for the meeting with  bare foot and arrange food which will be a forced  donation from his kraal or from his family kraal. The duration  of that punishment will  be decided by the Council.

7.He must respect the Opposite  Sex whether  old or young even his own family.

8.To crown it all, he must have the resources  like land, cattle  usually  donated  by his family.

After  he has "passed" the 8 crieria, then he will be "interviewed" and  observed  by his family and he may propose a girl.Other families  want a full report  about the girl family.Usually the past, present and the envisaged  future of the girl family  is discussed. That will be discussed  in the next post.

Money is not everything

With Bhacas money is not everything in contrast to the rest of us, there are those who worship mooney.Too much adhering to money brings the following:: -stress -inferior complex -lies -useless anxiety -syndrome of hatred -Not taking  care of other People How do the Bhacas alleviate from stress? 1.The Bhacas don't think too much  about money instead they are concern about health. They support their  health through vegetables, milk. 2.Inferior complex To avoid inferior complex does not need lot of money or always think about money. Acceptance  of other people does not diminish anyone. Lies Lies are the greatest destroyer of any family. Money is the greatest "fertilizer"  of lies and misrepresentation of facts. The Bhacas believe in -openness -honesty -solving the problem  -sharing the ideas. So, there's no room of lies, dishonesty or any similar action. Useless anxiety  Money may bring useless anxiety.
